I’ve been on a bit of a shopping binge this past week. You know how sometimes you go shopping and you can’t find anything? Well, I’ve had the exact opposite going on. Which is great, except that it’s hard to draw the line between shopping and hoarding. For instance, on which side of that line does buying four pairs of flats from H&M lie?
Each pair was $12.95, but I had a coupon, so I ended up spending $10.36 per pair! Including shipping, it was $47.39 for FOUR pairs of shoes. And I already have a pair of H&M flats so I know they are comfy. Also, my daughter has nearly the same size foot as me right now so we can share all of these.
A day or so after that magical shopping adventure, I found myself at Kohls. I never, ever, out of principle, shop in their Juniors department. I think it is a hard and fast rule that post 35, you need to move on to the adult section. But, somehow, I ended up wandering through. I was looking for something (I can’t even remember what anymore) and I stumbled upon the most adorable little blouses.
I can wear those this summer alone, or I can wear them under a blazer any time. I can dress them up or down. The possibilities are endless. And how cute is the navy blue one with the red anchors going to look with those navy striped flats? They were on sale the day I got them for $19.99 and I had a 20% off coupon, so drum roll, about $16 each. Score!
The next day, the shopping gods smiled on me once more and dropped this in my inbox:
Sorry, it’s expired now, but I was totally jumping up and down when I saw it. I love Banana Republic and the outlet is 20 minutes from my house! Jackpot, baby!! The tricky part with this is that you can’t shop on-line with the Outlet, so you will have to make do with the pictures I took myself.
Can you say Easter dress?
Finding petite skinny jeans that look normal is almost as hard as finding the Holy Grail.
That’s a chevron shell that can do double duty this summer and all year under a blazer and I know you can’t really see them, but there is a ridiculously nice pair of light beige lined dress pants that fit me perfectly. I also got a cute little sweatshirt/jacket and I pair of navy blue linen pants. So, in total, that’s a dress, 2 pairs of pants, a pair of jeans, a shirt and a jacket for $147! My receipt (I wish I saved it and took a pic) showed that with the sale prices and my 40% off coupon, I saved over $200!
Am I little too excited about this? Nope, just excited enough. Now, seriously, I am on a shopping hiatus. So no more tempting coupons, shopping devils! Unless they are for home stuff, cause I still need a ton of that.
