A plan to organize my life is beginning to come together. Let me rephrase that. I’m using someone else’s plan.
Mrs. January has gifted the universe with 30 tasks to organize your home. I’m going to follow along and probably tweak it a little along the way, too.
The first step is to clean out your purse. It’s funny, this was the first step in a few of the pins I found about organizing your life. Here’s what my purse looked like before:
What it looks like sprawled on the counter, is pretty much what it looked like inside the bag. Everything was just a jumbled mess. Also, K cup exploded in my bag so there were coffee grounds on everything. It smelled awesome. I wanted to switch from the nautical, summery bag to something that would take me into the weather, so I went searching for my much loved leather Coach bag. It wasn’t in great shape:
This picture isn’t really doing justice to just how bad the bag looked. I pulled out a leather cleaning kit and attempted to clean it and started to look worse. Like, way worse. So, I did what I should have done in the first place. I googled how to clean a leather bag. And, you aren’t going to believe this, but I found two sites that recommended putting your leather bag through the washing machine. And you’re really not going to believe this. I did it. It’s in the dryer right now. Yeah, I put it in the dryer, too. I really want to get this post in under the deadline for the 2nd day of the Write 31 Days challenge, so I’m going to have to leave you with a cliffhanger on how the bag turned out. Cross your fingers. I promise to post the results tomorrow.
In the meantime, I know you want an after picture of my purse organizing. Here you go:
I bought myself this purse organizer last Christmas and finally opened it today. It has lots of pockets and open and closed compartments. The best thing about it is that it makes it so easy to switch bags. It’s completely self contained, so I just have to grab it and pop it into another bag.
All right. 2 days down, 29 to go. Am I really going to be organized in 29 days? Stick around and find out!
