Home Chef Perfect Gift Graduate

The service let’s you pick a couple of recipes once a week, twice a month or once a month (or less even, if you decide to pause your order) and then they send you everything you need to make a delicious meal from scratch.  You get a beautiful full color, 8×11 recipe sheet for each meal with a binder to store them.  The binder also comes with a couple of cheat sheets on cooking terms.  The food is amazingly fresh and the recipes are great for the beginner cook.  I’ve learned so many things from the meals I have made and I’ve tried a lot of new foods that I would normally never buy. My last meal had parsnip and it was Amazing.  I had no idea!

Here are the meals I’ve cooked so far:

Bone-In Pork Chop with Pecorino Garlic Butter

Bone In Pork Chop from Home Chef

This was amazing.  I almost never bought pork before making this recipe and now I make it once a week.  Also, I had never tried a compound butter before and this pecorino/garlic concoction was so delicious.

Sherry Wine Demi-Glace Sirloin Steak

This recipe re-introduced mashed potatoes into my life and I couldn’t be happier.  I never could get them quite right until Home Chef showed me how and now I’m obsessed with them.  I have a great base recipe thanks to Home Chef, but I tweak the flavors just a little every time I make them.  Sometimes I add roasted garlic, sometimes I use cream cheese and once, I added dill dip and that was off the charts.

Bangkok Lemongrass-Basil Shrimp Fried Rice

When you get Home Chef, this is a must try recipe.  It is potentially the best thing I have ever eaten.  Period.  Bar none.  It is flavor for days.  And now I have the recipe forever, thanks to Home Chef.

Sunday Supper Pot Roast

Looking at this picture is reminding me of how delicious this was and I have to make it again.  This mashed potato recipe is slightly different than the one that came with the sirloin meal, which got me started on tweaking the mashed recipes.  This is a perfect example of how Home Chef has made me a better and more confident cook.

And in case you’re thinking that there might not be enough variety from Home Chef, here is a screen shot of some of the meals that are available now:

There is truly something for everyone, from Vegetarians, to Meat Lovers to the Gluten free eater.

So help a recent grad out!  They might be smart as a whip, but you know they can’t cook worth a lick.  And they certainly don’t want to spend their free time at the grocery store.  Home Chef solves both problems!  Click through and feed a grad!  PS!  Use my link to get $30 off your first order and if you activate Ebates, you get another 10% off!
