What I Made This Week

I’m a day behind this week.  Well, at least a day behind.  But, no matter, I still made something I would like to share.  I made salmon steaks in a foil pouch and they were scrumptious.  It was very last minute and I admit that I made it up as I went along, but it came out great.

Lemony Buttery Salmon Steaks

So I started with a couple of giant salmon steaks:

Be aware of creepy of pets while preparing raw fish:

I placed the fish on some tin foil and slathered it in lemon juice, salt, pepper and butter:

I created a nice little pouch for the fish out of the tin foil and popped it in a 350 oven for about 30 minutes.  The cooking time will depend on the thickness of the steak.  You usually can tell when salmon is done because it is flaky inside.  The finished product still had a great fresh lemony salmon-y taste, but with a bit of richness from the butter.

These would be great on the grill this summer, too!
