Naan Bread Pizza – An Easy Weeknight Dinner

I’m back from vacation and feeling that weird melancholy of knowing that vacation is over for another year and it’s back to regular life.  That’s about the saddest sentence I’ve written in a long time.  One of the wins from vacation was discovering a new favorite meal, Naan Bread Pizza Easy Weeknight Dinner.  I’m so excited to have this meal in my back pocket for when school starts because it’s so easy and everyone loves it.  It’s a fun meal, too, because everyone can customize their own pizza.  ***This post contains affiliate links for your convenience.  If you click on one and make a purchase I may receive a commission at no cost to you.  Thank you for supporting Lifestyle for Real Life!***

Naan Bread Pizza - An Easy Weeknight Dinner

While on vacation, I cooked these on the grill.  You add your toppings and it’s just a few minutes to melt the cheese and get everything hot.  You do have to watch them like a hawk so that the bottom doesn’t burn and you might want to move them to the top shelf of the grill.  They are even easier to cook indoors in your oven.  It’s just 5-7 minutes in a 400 oven to get the cheese melted and a little bit of browning and crispiness to the bread.  I cooked mine on my trusty pizza stone, but you could probably put this directly on your oven rack for a crispier crust, or just use a regular old baking sheet.  I used these Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads and I found them in the bakery section of my grocery store.  They are delicious and they come in a garlic flavor, too.

The variations on these are as wide as your imagination.  My daughter liked Pepperoni and Black Olive, as long as the Pepperoni and Black Olive were on separate sides of the bread, obviously.

My son is a traditionalist and went for good old cheese.

I went in a totally different direction and did a white pizza with ranch dressing, bacon and red onion.  It’s basically my new favorite thing  and I could eat my weight in it.

Rather than a recipe, here are the steps involved in making the Bacon Ranch Pizza:

So super easy, right?

We made these twice for lunch on vacation.  One piece of Naan bread is about an individual size pizza, depending on your appetite.  My son ate less than a whole one and my daughter ate hers plus his leftovers.  You can store the bread in the freezer until your ready to make pizzas, just follow the heating instructions on the packaging.  Now, of course, I need new ideas.  What would you put on your Naan Bread Pizza?
