Thaw the shrimp by placing them in a colander and running cold water over them. This should only take a few minutes.
Heat 2 tbsp of butter in a saute pan on medium heat.
Add the garlic to the butter.
Add the thawed shrimp to the butter and garlic and cook for two minutes on one side.
Add the remainder of the butter and salt and pepper.
Flip the shrimp and allow to cook for another 2 minutes on the other side or until cooked through.
