I went to the flea market. I haven’t been to a flea market in a long time. I don’t know why, but I’m so happy I went today and I have totally been bitten by the bug and can’t wait to go again. Here are some of the cool things I saw:
I came back to this brass bug? crayfish? twice. I don’t know why. There was just something about it that caught my eye. In the end I didn’t buy it because it was missing one of its antennas. Or, because it was ugly. I’m still not sure.
I love this green lamp! It’s the perfect shade of green and plus, how often do you see a green lamp? Hardly ever.
My daughter liked this framed fashion print. It is very cute and already shabby chic. It is very cute and looks authentically old.
This mirror made me happy. I like the slender handle and the round mirror. And I love how it’s worn on the handle. You can see it was used often. I like that.
How cool are these bikes? I love the one with the two little shelves, or is that a seat? I wanted to buy all of these for the toddlers in my life.
But what did I actually buy?
I was about to head to the inside portion of the flea market when I said to my daughter, “Wait, I think we missed this aisle”. We made it down the aisle and these two beautiful sketches jumped out at me. The vendor told me that the drawings were done by an old woman who lived on Cape Cod. They were listed at $18 a piece, but I scored them for $15 total! I’ve been wanting to get a gallery wall started, but I really want it to have some unique pieces along with some family photos and these totally fit the bill. Now I just need to happen upon oh, 8-10 other equally awesome things. The hunt is on!
