A while back I posted a House Tour with before and after pics and a check list for what we want to do for all of the rooms on the first floor and the exterior of the house. I thought it would be fun to revisit the list and see what kind of progress I’ve …
I discovered something disturbing this weekend. I’m not really sure that I should I share it. But, I guess knowledge is power and it’s already out there all over Pinterest, so here goes. You can make fudge with three ingredients in the microwave. Terrifying, I know. With very minimal effort and time spent, you get …
Have you hard about the book “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up”? No? Well, grab your coffee and tuck yourself into the couch for a couple of minutes. You’re going to want to hear about this book. “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up – The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing” by Marie Kondo …
I have a confession to make. Fall is my favorite. Not glorious summer or precious spring. It’s fall. I know it’s the precursor to winter. I know it means less daylight. I know it means chilly mornings and leaves to be raked. I love it anyway. I love the coziness of fall and apple picking …
So, I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but I haven’t updated my Fit By Forty page in many months. And, yes, forty, has already arrived and is nearly halfway over. Goal not achieved. I’ve left the page up as a silent mocking of myself every time I look at the site. It’s not that …
I have had this little mid century chest that I bought at a yard sale for several years. It was a bit beat up, but I loved the shape of it and it has a good amount of storage. I’m a huge fan of any mid century modern decor. My husband, on the other hand, …
It’s been many moons since my last Buy It, Spy It or DIY It post, so I thought I’d stop in at Urban Outfitters and see what’s what. Remember the rules of this game? A Buy It is something that is a fair price or a unique piece that you LOVE. A Spy It is …
I have been in a crafting funk lately. I’ve been wanting to try one of the marbling tutorials I’ve seen on Pinterest, but I was thinking I would need to buy stuff for it. Namely an object to marble. It seemed like all of the tutorials I saw were done on white objects, white cups, …
I read “Girl on a Train”. It was good-ish. I RARELY buy an e-book that costs more than $2.99 and I spent more than that on “Girl on a Train”. I splurged on this book because the reviews were great. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t awful, I just didn’t think it was amazing. I …
I have a question to pose to you all. Has the tapestry gradated from the dorm room? I have a room in my house that is very dark and I’m feeling much too lazy to paint it. I’d like to inject some color with something big, bright and lightweight. I present to you my tapestry …
