When we moved into this house, we had one of those big builder’s grade mirrors in the upstairs bathroom. Â When we redid the bathroom a few years ago, the mirror came down. Â For some reason, it never got thrown away. Â Even when we had the dumpster for the kitchen remodel, it somehow stuck around. …
Ok, technically, I think it’s a door, but it reminds me of millions of repurposed window ideas I’ve seen. Â After removing the door from Sir Hutchington, I was left with, well, the door. Â I’d like to do something with it, but I’m not sure what. Â It’s sort of just on the wrong side of traditional/colonial …
I did a mood board recently for my living room and I’m happy to say that thanks to our tax return, I have started to take that mood board out of the internet and into the actual real live living room (live living room, HA!). You should know that I live within 12 minutes of …
Sometimes the stars align and you find things that you love, that are “you” and that you can afford, all in one place. Â That place for me is H&M. Â I shop for clothes there compulsively. Â Their home line is equally obsession worthy. I’ve put together a few of my favorites for the blog because I …
Folks, I have a bona fide DIY project to share with you. Remember my blah hutch that I was searching for inspiration for? Well, I got the project underway and I am 3/4 of the way done. I haven’t decided whether or not to paint the background of the hutch a different color, so it …
I have a confession to make. Â In between Christmas and, well Christmas, my mantel is bare. Â Like, really bare. Â For one, I am a big believer in things serving a purpose or being beautiful or special if they are going to have a place in the home. Â Especially a place that is front and center …
I have an adorable little hutch in the ahh, the room that is nameless because it used to be the dining room and now is a den? living room? Â Anyway, the hutch is colonial looking and natural wood at the moment. Â Same as it was, I’m sure when it was erected in 1964. I’m definitely …
It sounds like a 70’s soft rock band. Â But, actually, it’s way cooler than that. Â If you remember, I put up this statement wallpaper in the dining room with the help of my mom: But, alas, the dining room that used to be the family room, did not have an overhead light. Â Not wanting to …
This is my first pass at Polyvore.  I loved it. It started off very easy, but there are a couple of things that I can’t quite figure out how to fix.  Like, for instance, the chaise lounge from Ikea is $350 and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to fix …
Yeah, autocorrect, take that! Â De-dingefication. Â I answer to no electronic dictionary. Except for when I forget how to spell vacuum. The main bathroom in the house was looking a little sad. Â It was completely remodeled a few years back after a strange plumbing incident (which involved water only). Â So, all the expensive stuff is pretty …
